Basketball Recap: Amador Valley Falls Short of Clayton Valley Charter in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Amador Valley can now relate to. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles on Friday. The Dons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clayton Valley Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah Perryman, who posted 13 points and seven boards. Perryman is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jett Tran, who had 13 points and three steals.

Amador Valley's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season.

Amador Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-38 victory against Junipero Serra on the 4th.
