Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the James Logan Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ehkam Braich, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Romeo Coronado also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for James Logan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
