Baseball Recap: South Knox Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when South Knox and Barr-Reeve meet (seven straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Vikings, falling 16-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Vikings since May 5, 2015.

South Knox's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-11. As for Barr-Reeve, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, South Knox will square off against Northeast Dubois at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barr-Reeve, they will head out to face off against Linton-Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Miners at the right time seeing as the Miners are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
