 Mater Academy Charter has enjoyed a six-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the IMG Academy Navy Ascenders at 1:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Mater Academy Charter's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so IMG Academy Navy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 On Monday,  everything went Mater Academy Charter's way against James Madison as Mater Academy Charter made off with  an  8-2 victory. That six run margin sets a new team best for Mater Academy Charter this season.
  Kevin Roque tossed a big game,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.  Nicolas Familia relieved him and did a solid job,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (he also only allowed one  walk).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Isreal Garcia, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Fernandez, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, IMG Academy Navy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took  a  6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bell Creek Academy.
 IMG Academy Navy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Matt McGuire, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Mater Academy Charter's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-4. As for IMG Academy Navy, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
