Football Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

Sycamore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fairfield Indians, falling 34-9. While losing is never fun, the Aviators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Indians are ranked 110th).

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fairfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sycamore will take on Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Middies' defense has only allowed 7.8 points per game this season, so the Aviators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairfield, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lakota West at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Indians 14.8, the Firebirds 15) so any points scored will be well earned.
