Baseball Recap: Cerritos Takes a Loss

Cerritos lost against Oxford Academy on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dons took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cerritos got a big performance out of Braxton Reed, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Reed is becoming a predictor of the Dons' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 10-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Dalton Chi, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Cerritos' loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Oxford Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-15-1.

Cerritos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oxford Academy, they will square off against St. Anthony at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
