The home team had won the previous four meetings between South Brunswick and North Brunswick, and South Brunswick kept the tradition alive. The Cougars walked away with a 3-1 win over the Scorpions on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Scorpions back in August, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

South Brunswick can attribute much of their success to Faye (Malin) Miller, who had nine digs and two assists.

South Brunswick was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

South Brunswick has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for North Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

South Brunswick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against West Bladen on the 23rd. As for North Brunswick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Topsail on the 23rd.
