Regis Jesuit fought the good fight in their overtime game against Legend on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 62-59. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Regis Jesuit might have lost, but man, Iliana Greene was a machine: she went 9 for 16 on her way to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Greene a new career-high. Mallory Neff was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.
Chaparral played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-37 win over Douglas County. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Huskies are ranked 140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Regis Jesuit better focus on containing Lauren Thompson and Salem Sherman as the pair were huge in Chaparral's win. Thompson went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals, while Sherman went 8 for 10 on her way to 20 points. Thompson is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Monroe, who posted ten points and three steals.
Chaparral was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Regis Jesuit's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-6. As for Chaparral, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Regis Jesuit has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Chaparral struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
