Sac-Joaquin Section 2022 baseball playoff projections: Final update

By Steve Montoya May 6, 2022, 6:00pm

A final look at how we project the playoff brackets.

The final Sac-Joaquin Section high school baseball playoff projection is out as almost all games have wrapped up.

This is just a projection.

Some things to know:- 87 teams will qualify
- Each league will have a predetermined amount of teams who get in. I list that below next to each league
- Teams may not play more than one division below its league placement - If you are in a DII league you cannot play in DIV.
- A league champion must play at or above the level of its league competition - If you win a DIV league you cannot play in DV.

We have used current league standings, MaxPreps rankings, and our own thoughts when seeding the brackets.

Each league has its own tie-breaker rule. We do not have all that information at this time.

If you see any issues or have any questions, steve.montoya@cbsi.com or tweet @smontoyamp
