Basketball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Southwest Wildcats had to suffer through a 94-24 loss at the hands of the Meadville Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Southwest still got an impressive performance from Grant Warren, who posted 12 points and three steals. Warren has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played.

Mason Dennis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Meadville, shooting 47% from the field on his way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Carter Thompson was another key player, as he made all 7 shots he took to post 16 points.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Meadville, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-10.

Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meadville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-40 defeat against Hale on the 26th.
