Volleyball Recap: Broadwater Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Broadwater Academy lost against Gateway Christian on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of Gateway Christian by a score of 3-2.

Broadwater Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-12, 23-25, 17-25, 25-19, 15-7.

Tatum Watson paced Broadwater Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Watson got some help from Caroline Caison and her 16 assists. Watson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Gateway Christian found their leader in sophomore Daniella Obando, who had nine digs and two aces. Obando has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Broadwater Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Gateway Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Broadwater Academy and Denbigh Baptist Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Gateway Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
