Softball Game Preview: Sioux Falls Christian Chargers vs. Chamberlain Cubs

The Sioux Falls Christian Chargers will challenge the Chamberlain Cubs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sioux Falls Christian might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to Dell Rapids, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dehlia Doop-Blanchard was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Chamberlain had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 19-4 to Parkston on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 20 in a row.

Jovie Vandenbosch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Emberly Randall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Sioux Falls Christian now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Chamberlain, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
