Basketball Recap: Seneca Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca). In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 53-52 victory over the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Hawks.

Leading Seneca to victory were Janell Julue and Justice Parks. Julue shot 44% from the field to rack up 19 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds, while Parks went 7-for-17 on her way to 20 points along with seven boards and three steals. Those 20 points gave Parks a new career-high.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Seneca has already played their next contest, a 73-16 loss against Heritage on the 20th. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Happy Valley at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
