Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. High Tech SD

Lincoln and High Tech SD are an even 3-3-2 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long. The Lincoln Hornets will take on the High Tech SD Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lincoln will head out to face High Tech SD after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Lincoln came up short against Mira Mesa, falling 4-0. The shutout was out of character for the Hornets seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, High Tech SD was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Christian.

Lincoln's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4-1. As for High Tech SD, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Lincoln skirted past High Tech SD 1-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
