Basketball Recap: Carter Holmes Key Part of a Team Effort in Green Waves Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Auburn, Narrows was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Giles Spartans by a score of 48-38. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-36 last Thursday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Narrows to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Holmes, who went 6 for 11 to rack up 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Holmes now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Sam Mcglothlin, who went 6 of 15 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Narrows has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Giles, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Narrows didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-50 defeat against James Monroe on the 29th. As for Giles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-54 loss against Galax on the 28th.
