Soccer Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Guntersville's Winning Streak

If Guntersville was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Scottsboro on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Oak Mountain Eagles on Saturday, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Guntersville haven't been shut out since back in February.

Guntersville moved to 18-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak. As for Oak Mountain, the win keeps they at an undefeated 23-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guntersville will take on Westminster Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Mountain, they will venture away from home to challenge Homewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Homewood will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Oak Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
