Basketball Recap: Roane County Find Success

Roane County won the last time they faced Clay County, and Anna Tolley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Roane County Raiders were the clear victor by a 41-17 margin over the Clay County Panthers on Wednesday thanks in part to Tolley, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Braylin Bowe, who posted eight points and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Roane County's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Clay County, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roane County will host Charleston Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clay County, they will welcome Calhoun at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
