Basketball Recap: Lauren Lee Key Part of a Team Effort in Royal Knights Win

River Ridge's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They managed a 41-37 win over the Neumann Celtics. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Royal Knights also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

River Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lauren Lee, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Mya Greene was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Despite the loss, Neumann still got an impressive performance from Mylee Van De Wouw, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn Crosby, who had seven points along with five boards and four steals.

With the victory, River Ridge broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-6. As for Neumann, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

River Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-34 win against Lecanto on the 3rd. As for Neumann, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-26 victory against Weeki Wachee on the 3rd.
