Basketball Preview: Everman Bulldogs vs. South Hills Scorpions
Everman is 8-0 against the Scorpions since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Everman Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the South Hills Scorpions at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Everman is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Scorpions in Texas (the Bulldogs are ranked 617th, while the Scorpions are ranked 1515th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Everman gave their fans yet another huge win last Tuesday. They blew past Polytechnic, posting a 61-9 win at home.
Meanwhile, South Hills' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 45-23 defeat at the hands of Wyatt.
Everman pushed their record up to 15-11 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for South Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-29.
Everything came up roses for Everman against the Scorpions in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 60-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Everman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
