Softball Recap: Midland Valley Takes a Loss

Midland Valley and North Augusta squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Midland Valley had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-3 to the Yellow Jackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 16-7.

Midland Valley's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for North Augusta, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Midland Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Augusta, they will venture away from home to square off against South Florence at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
