Soccer Game Preview: Crosby vs. Pasadena

The Crosby Cougars will take on the Pasadena Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Crosby is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Kingwood Park on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Pasadena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Kingwood Park, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Pasadena can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 729th, while Kingwood Park are ranked 361st).

Pasadena's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Crosby, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-6.

Everything went Crosby's way against Pasadena in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Crosby made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
