Baseball Recap: Monta Vista Takes a Loss

Monta Vista lost against Cupertino back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Matadors fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 4-3. The Matadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monta Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sravik Sajja, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Sajja is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Tim Yin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Monta Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Cupertino, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9-1.

Coming up, Monta Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Lynbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cupertino, they are taking a road trip to take on San Mateo at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
