Softball Recap: Amherst-Pelham Regional Takes a Loss

Amherst-Pelham Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 23-3 to the Smith Vo-Tech Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 back in April.

Amherst-Pelham Regional saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Eddy, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Skyler Maradiaga Lanausse also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Amherst-Pelham Regional's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Smith Vo-Tech, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amherst-Pelham Regional will welcome Lenox Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Smith Vo-Tech, they will take on Monument Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
