Volleyball Game Preview: Green Mountain Rams vs. Longmont Trojans

After both having extra time off, the Green Mountain Rams and the Longmont Trojans will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Green Mountain will be strutting in after a win while Longmont will be coming in after a defeat.

Green Mountain barely beat Standley Lake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 3-0 victory last Thursday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Green Mountain's got stronger as the match went on, holding Standley Lake to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Longmont suffered their biggest loss since October 16th on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to Grandview.

Green Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Longmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Green Mountain has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.6 aces per game.
