Volleyball Game Preview: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Westwood Warriors

The Mesa Jackrabbits will venture away from home to square off against the Westwood Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Mesa turned things around against Skyline on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Jackrabbits not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mesa was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-14, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Westwood waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Mustangs 3-0.

Westwood was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-20.

Westwood's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Mesa, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Mesa came up short against Westwood in their previous meeting on Thursday, falling 3-1. Can the Jackrabbits avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
