Football Recap: Bridgeland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Bridgeland was feeling good fresh off their 42-14 takedown of Tompkins last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears were outmatched by the Ridge Point Panthers and fell 31-3. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Tyler Begeal threw for 47 yards on five of 16 attempts. On the ground, Kash Schwab rushed for 102 yards on only 14 carries.

Leading Ridge Point to victory were Brody Bartee and Aiden Akins. Bartee threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns, while Akins rushed for 88 yards and one TD. The Panthers also got help from Bailen George, who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bridgeland fell to 2-1. As for Ridge Point, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Bridgeland and Ridge Point should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Bears will challenge Langham Creek at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th with a big rank advantage (68 vs. 353). Meanwhile, Ridge Point (ranked 25th) will meet Fort Bend Elkins (ranked 445th) at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th.
