Softball Game Preview: Waggener Wildcats vs. Fort Knox Eagles

The Waggener Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Fort Knox Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waggener has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Waggener lost 17-2 to Valley on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Fort Knox was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They came up short against Dawson Springs, falling 19-1.

Waggener's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fort Knox, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Waggener might still be hurting after the 19-0 defeat they got from Fort Knox in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
