May River faced Bishop England in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Sharks who were credited with the win. The May River Sharks got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Bishop England Battling Bishops' two. May River's winning goal came courtesy of Joshua Carachure.

May River has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those ten contests. As for Bishop England, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.

Looking ahead, May River will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
