Basketball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 41-29 to the South Carroll Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 75th).

Leah Miller was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 15 points. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Curtin, who put up seven points.

Century's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for South Carroll, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Century wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-21 defeat against Mount de Sales Academy on the 23rd. As for South Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-25 loss against Westminster on the 24th.
