Basketball Game Preview: Union Cougars vs. American Heritage Patriots

The Union Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the American Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Union knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully American Heritage likes a good challenge.

Union's tournament run continued when they took on Park City on Tuesday. Union fell 76-68 to Park City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (64), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, American Heritage was able to grind out a solid victory over Mater Dei Catholic on Monday, taking the game 94-86. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 74th in Utah, while the Crusaders are ranked 332nd in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

American Heritage's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
