Basketball Game Preview: North Oconee Titans vs. Eastside Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the North Oconee Titans will get right back to it and host the Eastside Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Oconee will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Monday, North Oconee got the win against Cedar Shoals by a conclusive 53-31. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They had just enough and edged East Forsyth out 58-55.

Eastside's win came from a few key players North Oconee will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jailyn Williams, who went 5 of 9 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Morgan Sandema, who posted 14 points.

North Oconee's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Eastside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

North Oconee strolled past Eastside when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 62-46. Will North Oconee repeat their success, or does Eastside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
