Football Recap: Josey Falls to Cross Creek in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Josey had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 22-12 to the Cross Creek Razorbacks. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Josey's loss came despite strong showings from Marquis Polite and Keith Lyons-Starks. Polite gained 73 total yards and a touchdown, while Lyons-Starks picked up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch

Karmani Bell was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 72 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Josey will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gordon Central at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Cross Creek, they will face off against Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
