Volleyball Recap: Antwerp Wins Going Away Against Van Wert

Antwerp's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Van Wert Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Archers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Antwerp walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-17.

Antwerp can attribute much of their success to Briley Bagley, who had eight digs. Hudsyn Bagley also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Antwerp's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Van Wert, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Antwerp didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ayersville on the 7th. As for Van Wert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Kenton on the 7th.
