Basketball Recap: Lanphier Takes a Loss

Lanphier was the 44-30 winner over Lincoln when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lanphier Lions fell 43-36 to the Lincoln Railsplitters on Saturday.

Lincoln can attribute much of their success to Brody Tungate, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Karson Komnick, who earned eight points.

Lanphier's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lanphier will face off against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in MacArthur's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. As for Lincoln, they will take on Bloomington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bloomington has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 16 straight defeats, while Lincoln will come in with eight straight wins.
