Baseball Recap: Walden Grove Takes a Loss

Walden Grove lost against Nogales back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Wolves fell 13-8 to the Apaches.

Walden Grove got a big performance out of Jacob Silva, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI. Another player making a difference was Vaughn Sexton, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles.

Walden Grove has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Nogales, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walden Grove will face off against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nogales, they will challenge Cienega at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Apaches surely won't give up without a fight.
