Baseball Game Preview: Marshall Rams vs. East Central Hornets

The Marshall Rams will challenge the East Central Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Marshall and three for East Central.

Marshall fell victim to O'Connor and their airtight pitching crew last Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, East Central lost 12-2 to Clemens on Friday.

East Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branden Daniel, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Marshall might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from East Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
