Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Kirkwood Cobras. Springfield were not able to make up for their loss to Kirkwood from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kirkwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Springfield will square off against Kenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield's defense better be ready for this one: Kenwood have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season. As for Kirkwood, they will take on Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
