Football Game Preview: Horn Lake Eagles vs. Lewisburg Patriots + Official Tickets

The Horn Lake Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Lewisburg Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewisburg took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Horn Lake, who comes in off a win.

Horn Lake took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Southaven with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 13-point performance the game before.

Horn Lake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of MJ Sanders and Tyson Gray. Gray got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lewisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Tupelo and fell 49-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Horn Lake's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lewisburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Horn Lake strolled past Lewisburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 39-21. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
