Basketball Recap: Alice Victorious

Alice won the last time they faced Calallen and things went their way on Saturday too. The Alice Coyotes walked away with a 68-58 win over the Calallen Wildcats.

Despite the loss, Calallen still got an impressive performance from Sam Cecava, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. Cecava's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Martinez, who posted 11 points and six assists.

The victory got Alice back to even at 8-8. As for Calallen, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

Alice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-43 loss against Flour Bluff on the 17th. As for Calallen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-51 win against Orange Grove on the 17th.
