Basketball Recap: Wesleyan Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Grant Schelhammer and Connor Morehouse

Wesleyan lost against Mount Vernon back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wesleyan Wolves fell to the Mount Vernon Mustangs 59-54.

Despite the loss, Wesleyan had strong showings from Connor Morehouse, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 15 points and three steals, and Grant Schelhammer, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, Morehouse now owns an excellent 40.3% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Hilton, who posted ten points.

Wesleyan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Mount Vernon, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Wesleyan has already played their next matchup, a 66-51 loss against Mount Paran Christian on the 19th. As for Mount Vernon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-59 defeat against St. Francis on the 11th.
