Basketball Recap: Van-Far Falls Despite Big Games from Pacey Reading and Gaven Gaston

Van-Far has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between them and the Bowling Green Bobcats didn't end well, with the Van-Far Indians falling 51-35. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Bobcats are ranked 262nd).

Van-Far's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Gaven Gaston and Pacey Reading. Gaston almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, while Reading posted 11 points.

Van-Far's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-3. As for Bowling Green, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
