Soccer Recap: The Platte Takes a Loss

The Platte was the 4-2 winner over Elkhorn when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Platte lost 5-2 to Elkhorn on Tuesday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no goals scored by either team from that point forward.

Logan Ksiazek and Diego Lopez scored both of The Platte's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

The Platte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Elkhorn, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. The Platte will take on rival Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Elkhorn is set to challenge their familiar foe Waverly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
