Recap: MacArthur Highlanders vs. Mustang Broncos

The MacArthur Highlanders suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. Their rough 58-35 defeat to Mustang might stick with them for a while. MacArthur was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mustang to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Simonsen, who scored 11 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Elaina Valentin Florence, who scored 13 points.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Mustang, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

MacArthur will be playing in front of their home fans against Lawton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 341st, while MacArthur is ranked 124th). As for Mustang, they will head out on the road to take on Putnam City North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Putnam City North has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
