Football Recap: Milford Piles Up the Points Against Water Canyon

Milford got themselves on the board against Water Canyon on Friday, but Water Canyon never followed suit. They breezed past the Wildcats to the tune of 65-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Carson Cheney, who threw for 183 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (165.2). Griffin Walker was another key player, picking up 69 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Milford's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Adrian Tafalo and Bradyn Carter, who racked up all four sacks between them. Carter also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Boston Sullivan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was the fifth in a row for Milford, bringing their record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games. As for Water Canyon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
