Perkiomen Valley waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let Pope John Paul II get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Perkiomen Valley pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Pope John Paul II, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Perkiomen Valley will face off against rival Spring-Ford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 1.9, the Rams 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pope John Paul II is set to square off against their familiar foe Phoenixville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
