Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Talia Mardrussian and Izzy Aragon Lead Village Christian to Victory + How To Watch

Village Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Heritage Christian Warriors 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-22, 26-24.

Village Christian was led to victory by Izzy Aragon and Talia Mardrussian. Aragon had 16 digs and three aces, while Mardrussian had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Mardrussian has posted since back in August. Vivian Cherella also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Village Christian pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Village Christian will challenge Maranatha at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders are facing the Minutemen at the right time seeing as the Minutemen are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Heritage Christian, they will face off against Whittier Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
