Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Alemany vs. Notre Dame (SO)

The Bishop Alemany Warriors will face off against the Notre Dame (SO) Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Alemany's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Notre Dame (SO) will have to contend with a Bishop Alemany team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen since December 27. Neither Bishop Alemany nor Chaminade could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, everything went Notre Dame (SO)'s way against Sierra Canyon on Monday as Notre Dame (SO) made off with a 5-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Sierra Canyon with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anton Caballero (2), Ryan Giraldo, Dan Katonovich, and Nico Marliani.

Notre Dame (SO) is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those seven matches. Bishop Alemany's draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-4.

Bishop Alemany came up short against Notre Dame (SO) in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Bishop Alemany avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
