Basketball Recap: Academy Charter Takes a Loss

Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brick Township Green Dragons. Academy Charter lost against Brick Township in their previous head to head back in February of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 75-45 score last time.

Academy Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Brick Township, they moved to 7-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Academy Charter has already played their next match (against Dunellen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brick Township will challenge Toms River South at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
