Blue Ridge skates past Chapman with ease

Recap: Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers vs. Chapman Panthers

Make it eight blowout wins for the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Chapman 70-23 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Blue Ridge as they're now sitting on five straight.

Blue Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anyah Henderson out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 assists. Henderson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Josie Harkins was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Chapman's loss came despite strong showings from Kara Twitty and Grace Mcdaniel. Twitty scored ten points, while Mcdaniel scored two points along with two steals.

Blue Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Chapman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

Blue Ridge will be playing at home against Travelers Rest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Travelers Rest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Blue Ridge is ranked 28th). As for Chapman, they will head out on the road to challenge Broome at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Broome focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
