Soccer Game Preview: Oak Grove vs. Hickory

The Oak Grove Grizzlies will face off against the Hickory Red Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Grove knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Hickory likes a good challenge.

Oak Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let South Rowan get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering Oak Grove have won ten contests by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hickory, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over North Iredell on Monday. Hickory haven't had any issues with North Iredell recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Oak Grove is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 71 goals over those 12 games. As for Hickory, their win bumped their record up to 20-3-2.
